CCI Developmental Philosophy

Our post graduate studies in cognitive behavior and neuroscience inspired researching how to best resolve real life issues. While  many counselors use traditional tests to help identify dysfunctions, we discovered few seek out "how" to define "why" intentional change has a sense of purpose. Consequently, we investigated the many assessments administered by psychologists to understand where inherent abilities, passions, value sets, and interests intersect.

What we discovered was that these protocols project "what" others have done and "how" they’ve done it. However, what they do not reveal "why" or the purpose of those endeavors that manifest the meaning of their vocational interests, nor do they convey "how" their unique abilities supported those interests. We also knew that each person was unique and hope to project that uniqueness in their work roles. As a result, this requires a subjective inquiry into  knowing "who" they are before they could answer the question, “what" am I meant to do in life and "why" this matters?

Likewise, objective abilities assessments alone were insufficient in providing a clear pathway to vocational development without proper alignment with one’s subjective self-actualized interests. This prompted our concentration on a cognitive understanding of how to bridge this disconnect.

Our distinctive work experiences and passion prompted us to utilize testing protocols in a unique way, allowing individuals to identify their natural talent. Our vision is to help others understand the relevance of these innate abilities and "how" they can be used to validate their vocational goal pursuits. Once understood, these abilities offer the essential components to supporting both a meaningful and enjoyable avocation in life.

The application of these protocols have the propensity to impact the lives of individuals who are not only "stuck" in developing their vocational aspirations, but those confronting significant life challenges. The fundamental cognitive impasse is the same. Individuals require a method to find within themselves those traits and inborn talent in order to actualize "how" they may be cultivated and deployed in a way that reflects their inimitable nature in this world. This self-authentication empowers them to visualize a pathway to a life with purpose and the resiliency to sustain them on that journey.

Crossroads Consulting, Inc. uses a variety of both subjective proprietary assessments and objective psychological instruments, which together reveal the distinctive gifts and character of each client. Our mission is to interpret these and engage each client in perfecting a strategic plan to take ownership of his or her future. Our goal is to assist each individual in navigating a pathway that is congruent with their passions, offering more meaning and purpose in their life.
